Moroccan Berber Omelette accompanied by some Khobz (Moroccan white bread) to dip in some olive oil and a Moroccan tea - one of my favourite breakfast!

**While in Turkey my Turkish friend said: "let me take you to eat a typical Turkish breakfast". It turned out to be that they have this same omelette but call it Turkish Omelette.

Harcha & Msemen. This is another typical breakfast you can expect to be served specially when staying in a Riad. Harcha (pan-fried flat bread from semolina, butter and milk) or Msemen (square shape pancake) accompanied by mermalade (my favourite one was when I tried home- made fig marmelade!), cheese, some fruits, juice and tea/coffee :)

SEFFA. This was an unexpectedly awasome mix of sweet and salty, featuring saffron chicken, lamb or beef, hidden within a dome of steamed couscous or vermicelli. This is then sweetend with raisins and powdered sugar and decorated with almonds and cinnammon.

Fresh Sardines. Fancy some freshly caught sardines? You need to head to Essaouira! You can't go wrong with this dish...

Moroccan Tajine. The most known moroccan dish. Typically made with meat, poultry or fish covered by vegetables and sometimes fruit. You cannot leave Morocco without trying this!

Meatball Tajine also called Kefta Mkaouara. If you are not a very big fan of vegetables you also have the meatball option cooked in a tomato sauce. Eggs are a classic addition to this dish.

Moroccan Mint Tea. Tea in Morocco is like water. Anytime you get invited to someones house you will most likely be offered tea. Most times it will come accompanied by some cookies :)
